Montana wildlife officials say the 51-year-old Washington state man was left with injuries that were not life-threatening after the encounter Tuesday afternoon east of the town of Choteau. Montana wildlife officials say the man and his wife were hunting birds when the grizzly bear charged him and knocked him over. The hunter fired at the bear with a shotgun and a handgun. The couple left and notified authorities. The injured bear was euthanized by wildlife officials.

Prosecutors say a Michigan man has been arrested on a federal criminal complaint alleging he set 25 fires on trailers in eight states over more than two years. The trailers all belonged to the same trucking company. Sixty-four-year-old Viorel Pricop of Allen Park, Michigan, was arrested Tuesday morning. He's charged with one count of arson of property in interstate commerce, which carries sentence of five to 20 years in prison. An affidavit says 25 semitrailers owned by Phoenix-based Swift Transportation were set ablaze while stopped at a fuel station or rest area from June 2020 through last month.

Two disputed calls in Week 5 sparked outrage among players, coaches and fans, prompting many to ask for change. Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay told The Associated Press he would support video reviews for these penalties. Despite the outcry, roughing-the-passer penalties are down 45% from this point last year. Through Week 5 in 2021, 51 were called. Only 28 have been called this season, according to league stats.
