Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story is a new American crime series by Ryan Murphy. It premiered on September 21 and starred the popular actor Evan Peters.

Some crime fiction viewers would have realized that Dahmer isn’t the first serial murderer to have worn spectacles in this form. Dennis Nilsen, a Scottish killer, and Dennis Rader, better known as BTK, wore aviator glasses too during their time. British serial killer Harold Shipman, who had an estimated 300 victims, wore identical frames too.
Evan Peters, who plays the legendary serial murderer, uses a pair of gold aviator-style spectacles with a strong nose bridge throughout the performance. Besides that, during his murder trial, real-life images of Dahmer show that he wore nearly similar spectacles all the way.
Well, Prior to his death, the culprit gave an Inside Edition jail interview in which he revealed his offenses. He informed journalist Nancy Glass that he didn’t wear his spectacles during the hearing since he didn’t wish to see anybody. “I was hesitant to look anyone in the eyes. I didn’t want to look at anyone’s face. “It allowed me to detach myself from what was going on,” he explained.
Some serial murderers wore identical eyeglasses just because it was what was trendy at the period. There wasn’t much option in spectacles design in the 1970s, 1980s, and early 1990s when the most notable serial murderers performed their attacks. If you couldn’t see, you were limited to a few distinct frames that all looked the same, which is why they had identical designs.
About half of the world’s population wears glasses, thus we should anticipate a similar proportion of serial killers to do too. According to some sources, the majority of the world’s known serial murderers worked between 1970 and 1999 as it was safer to avoid suspicion.
